Not only is FSSI one of the largest woman-owned providers of documents services in the western United States, FSSI is also employee owned as part of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

FSSI Career Pathways – From Mailroom to Management
Mike Mitzel – Technical Services Manager
Before Verizon was Verizon, it was AirTouch, and Mike Mitzel was working as a mailing machine operator when FSSI first came in. “When the Dietzes came to talk about taking on all the printing and mailing, Jennifer pulled me aside and asked, ‘How would you like to come work for us?’ Since my job was going away, it was a very attractive offer!”
Mike joined FSSI in 1996 as a Mailstar 500 operator. His aptitude for fixing machines led to a recommendation from a service technician to join Tech Services 18 months later. In 2003, he became 2nd Shift Lead, and by 2006, he was promoted to 1st Shift Lead. While working, Mike earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and became the Supervisor of Tech Services in 2009.
By 2018, Mike was promoted to Manager of the Tech Services Department, overseeing maintenance operations and inventory. His innovations have reduced downtime significantly.
Mike also values the family atmosphere at FSSI, where he met his wife Elsy. His son Ian and stepdaughter Katie both worked at FSSI, gaining valuable experience.
